About the Book:
Printed on archival strathmore cardstock and featuring 13 ink drawings by Danielle Stech-Homsy (the artist behind the Blue Knots) this book represents THE PHYSICAL RELEASE of the Blue Knots' debut album, "Becoming Noise." Its text is a cosmic tale which invites the listener more deeply into the imaginative and mythical nature of the album.
About the Included Album:
The latest evolution from musician and songwriter Danielle Stech-Homsy (formerly known as Rio en Medio), Becoming Noise weaves together minimalist composition, experimental percussive textures, and Stech-Homsy’s delicately powerful vocals—resulting in a sound both intimate and expansive.
Becoming Noise is a record of the assemblage of being, for anyone who has ever tried to make something or someone and instead created themselves in a new light. This is a musing of what it would be like to be being created, perhaps be only half-formed, standing amongst the others who seem to be so definite and complete. It is made with atmospheres of reference to the endeavor of humans to create intelligence, the broken-mirror-like quality of this act. It's the story of children making a giant mess of things and creating the future as they go.
This is creation complicated by an original wonderment at stake in all of us, especially in this very moment in time.
Made with a pianet, a drum machine and the human voice.
